Stretch Mark cream – Can It Work?

by Frankie Jones

People wrongly believe that only pregnant women and overweight people are prone to stretch marks. There is nothing farther from reality as just about anyone can get stretch marks.

They occur when the skin has to stretch a great deal in a short amount of time which causes tears in unprepared skin. These changes include puberty, growth spurts, and even minimal but quick weight gain or loss. Fortunately there are stretch mark creams that will reduce the effects that stretch marks have on the skin.

The bad thing about stretch marks is that it can happen for any reason: excessive dryness of the skin, sudden weight gain or loss, pregnancy and any such situation. The good thing about stretch marks is that they can be made to fade away at least. If you are lucky enough, it might even disappear completely.

The ingredients of such creams include Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and cocoa butter, which are natural products and provide the skin everything it requires to be strong to prevent the formation of stretch marks since the skin would adjust to such changes.

Substances like aloe vera, Vitamin E and cocoa butter are natural ingredients which help to heal the skin of the scarring, tightening them to remove the existing stretch marks, and strengthening and moisturizing them to prevent further skin tear. There are many topical medications and cosmetic products available which are reasonably priced and actually show effective results in getting rid of stretch marks. You should try using one of them, as best suited for your skin type and continue its application till you see results. This is better than going through laser surgery to get rid of the marks.
